Heritage Trust for the North West has formed a wholly owned subsidiary company 'Conservation Services NW', which specialises in traditional building craft skills.

It employs a Building Manager and ten builders, joiners and labourers. Their specialist skills include:

- Laying cobbles and setts, and stone paving.
- Dry stone walling.
- Re-laying stone and blue slate roofs.
- Construction of sash windows, and traditional panel doors.
- Using traditional lime mortars, limewash and lime plaster.
- Using natural paints and finishes.

All of our projects incorporate a variety of skills and you can view them in the 'info' section of each of our portfolio entries. Here you'll find greater information on specific processes used, supporting images and links.
